1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Quarter Finals

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Spain v South Korea
Senegal v Turkey

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Spain 0 South Korea 0 South Korea win 3-0 on penalties

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The lottery of penalties!
After extra time
Spain, were physically spent
The hard currency, of stamina, priceless
In this engaging, enduring, tournament
But even so, who could have bargained
On South Korea getting this far?
A nice blend, of youth and experience
A merger, of vitality and nous
Combining, into a balanced team sheet
They profit too, among Football’s fortunes
A wealth of talent, hoping to draw upon the riches
Of the ultimate prize

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The value of home advantage
Loomed large in the charged up atmosphere
But to give credit, where credit’s due
In a portfolio of sporting chance
Lady Luck, and Kismet, kissed
As Joaquin, the young Spanish buck
Down on his luck, missed
Till in the end, it all came down to their captain of industry, Myung Bo
With fluency and expertise
The veteran netted, and as he wheeled away in celebration
The years came flying off his face
Embraced the gods
And partied in the sky
