Turkey, took their beating
So, Germany will be greeting –
Brazil, please Rivaldo, no more cheating
Any more funny antics, and we’ll all be bleating
Sukur, offered no succour, his input only fleeting
Not a classic game, it didn’t have us over-heating
Nor perched on the edge of our seating

hungry for more, even though we’ve been over-eating
provide us with everlasting memories, not those only fleeting
that they’ll give us new tricks to copy, following like sheep, happily bleating
encourage us to show off innovative skills, rather than imitative cheating
so that the whole world, will merrily be greeting
all those competing
wherever friends in football are meeting
