Days of old

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 THE DAYS OF OLD

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I remember the days of old when Burnden was alive,
I remember going to Scunthorpe that was a bloody dive,
I remember going to all away games the times were bloody great,
I remember going to Millwall running the gauntlet of hate.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I used to be a hooligan throwing bricks and bog rolls,
I used to a singer with the rest behind the goals,
I used to be a target for the other fans to pick,
I used to be a hero when I hit them with a brick.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I now am oh so mellow in my now maturing days,
I now am very different in now so many ways,
I now am very quiet but there’s a thing I can’t abide,
I now am very angry when someone slogs our side.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I like a bit of humor I like a bloody good laugh,
I like some of these postings but not when they are naff,
I like the decent supporters from several other sites
I like the funny banter and the taunts that they incite.

Notes

Remembering my youth days when segregation at soccer games was unheard of. Then leading up to the present where postings on web boards get beyond toleration.
