Deja – Vu

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The gentleman from Cork is disenchanted,
Facilities, alas, aren’t up to scratch.
They cannot get their balls back when they’re canted –
Is this the way to practise for a match?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Their training pitch is rutted and it’s bumpy,
Causing countless arguments and stress.
No wonder John O’Flynn is feeling grumpy,
And vented his opinions to the press.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 This tale has a familiar ring about it –
A Corkman unenamoured by his training,
Feeling such a burning urge to shout it,
Running to the media and complaining.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I cannot rest until I have it figured,
I’ll have to go on pondering some more.
If someone doesn’t tell me, I’ll be jiggered –
Where has this refrain come up before?
