1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Attracting much jeering,
The kids with soft necks,
Fearfully peering
Through tortoiseshell specs.
Hostility building
Encumbered by strife,
Envy now gilding
The lily of life.
Whatever became
Of the picked-upon kid,
Achieving a name
For the running he did?
Emotions now numb,
With a myopic glee
He grew to become
A top ten referee.
