Divisions ( First Half )

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Royals in the crystal palaces
Villains in the city
The County posh
Who mother well
With names like Alexandra
Who drive their Jags
And Rovers through
The hearts of honest men
Drinking their port and claret
Feasting on swans and stags
Paying their hatters and silkmen
With diamonds and old gold
Won by pirates at port’s mouths
Or bought in the Hotspur’s day
From terrors in the Orient
By blades in Grecian’s land
Supplying the arsenal for gunners
Against the pilgrim’s stand.

Notes

The general idea is that if ever I was to read this live ( and I have a Second Half and Extra Time ) I’d have a competition to see if anyone could name all the clubs mentioned. A pint or something at the end of the evening.
