Do it, Mogga!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Do it, Mogga! Do it, son!
Get us on another run
Play it tight or play with flair
‘Owt yer like , I just don’t care
Get ’em at it from the gun
Do it, Mogga! Do it, son!

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I watched you on our darkest day
Fire-blood in your DNA
Playing jut-jawed, primed and proud,
Beacon to the meagre crowd
Now with pride you hear us say
That lad coaches us today.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Do it, Mogga! Do it, son!
Get us scoring goals for fun
Wind ’em up and watch ’em go
Knock it high or play it low
Plague ’em till the game is won
Do it, Mogga! Do it, son!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Life dealt you some bitter blows
How you coped, well Heaven knows
Always steadfast, staying strong
Now you’re back where you belong
What else would a brave heart do
Who captained us at 22?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Do it, Mogga! Do it son!
A brighter future now begun
Paint your pictures large and loud
Raise your colours, light the crowd
Glory when the race is run
Done it, Mogga! Done it son!

Notes

Total respect to Boro living legend Tony Mowbray. His first wife died at the age of 24. He is revered on Teesside as he captained Boro, aged 22, in our darkest days. No money, no ground. 2 successive promotions with Mogga at the helm.
