playing some great football,
us long suffering fans are happy
heads held high and standing tall.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The Sky Blues near the top
automatic promotion the aim,
the Ricoh is now a fortress
supporters entertained every game.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The Sky Blues have talented players
young Armstrong scoring goals galore,
Jacob Murphy a star in the making
and Joe Cole leaves us wanting more.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 The Sky Blues are on their way back
and we’re doing it for just one man,
the late great Jimmy Hill we owe so much
who turned me into a Coventry City fan.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The Sky Blues were created by Jimmy
turned his vision and dreams into reality,
and I’m still cheering them on today
proud to say I’m a fan of Coventry City F.C.

What is there to say about Jimmy Hill that hasn’t been said already ? But I thought I’d dedicate this to our clubs legend who without I think we would have never rose from the doldrums we were in when he came to Coventry.I walked to his statue outside the Ricoh the other day and as I stood looking at it I whispered thanks Jimmy for all what you did,and we’re getting promotion just for you this season. RIP Jimmy.
