Is what the games about
Even the antiquated format of MotD
Has, despite a sofa full of muppets
Been known to make fans shout.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But twenty four hours later?
With nations interest on the wane
Ain’t no way to see how the players
Have performed in latest crunch game.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Don’t yer telly licence cost us enough
To take the Ingerland games?
Whilst Setanta seem to have sewn up
Blinding deals, with Europe’s mega names.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Can’t get a live World Cup game on the telly
What’s that all about?
Are we saying that if Ingerland play at Wemberly
In their home matches, the nation(unless subscribers to Setanta)
Are looking forward to… a goggle box black out??

Notes

About to shoot off home from work to catch the Ingerland match, and pick up some finger food on the way for half time, only to find out, from me kids that nobody except Setanta had screening rights for the World Cup qualifiers!

So stayed at work and just forgot about the match till the next day…. very strange, never had to wait twenty four hours to catch the highlights before, and a weird first they were…. crazy breaks in the commentary every ten to fifteen minutes.

What’s gonna happen when the return home legs come around?

A nations football fans who can’t afford World Cup match tickets, won’t be able to see live World Cup games on the box either, don’t like the look of this at all.
