Down and Out In Camden Town

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Whilst walking through County Camden Town
The other Sunday night
I bumped in to Arsene Wenger
Who was looking so contrite

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 I asked him
‘How is it with thee
As Chelsea go for three?’
His reply was so very poignant and put poetically

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 ‘We are boring, we are boring
Its Chelsea who are scoring
My players are so tired and worn out with fatigue
If you want my true opinion
We are London’s minnions
Chelsea are the team who will win the Premier league’

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I stood back in amazement
Right there on the pavement
This was not a man
Who took defeat lieing down

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 It started me to thinking
Had Arsene been out a drinking
In the hostelries
That one sees
In County Camden Town?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 It kinda made me nervous
As he continued with his verses
His plight was made much worse
As the words he said were true

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 I was touched by the emotion
And a weird kind of devotion
That the Arsenal boss
Seemed to have
For the boys who played in Blue

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 ‘The Chelsea star is rising
Whilst ours is fast subsiding
I’m at a loss to be a boss
Who has’nt got a clue’

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 ‘I’ve met my match in your Mourinho
Ashley Cole has simply got to go
Where he goes
No one knows
But I hope they don’t wear blue!’

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 Arsene looked so down
As he wore his worried frown
Even as a Gooner
He had my sympathy

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 Out of the Champions league
Players worn out with fatigue
Patrick Viera off to Real Madrid?
What else did he need?

12 Leave a comment on verse 12 0 I bid a fond adieu
What else could I do?
His last words were just so moving
As the night was drawing in

13 Leave a comment on verse 13 0 ‘ Les Blues et vous
I don’t know what to do
Your defence is so formidable
Impossible to break through
I want to wring my neck
I could have signed your Petr Cech
Instead I signed Lens Lehmann
Now what am I to do?’

14 Leave a comment on verse 14 0 As I walked up to Belsize Park
I thought I’d have a lark
By changing the words around
I’d just heard Arsene sing
They’d do the same to us
Without thought or fuss
These words echoed in the night
With a poignant ring

15 Leave a comment on verse 15 0 We are scoring, we are scoring
Its Arsenal who are boring
This season is our finest one
In almost fifty years
As the zenith fast approaches
Lets be gratefull to the coaches
Who’ve made us this year
The team to fear
And a winning one to cheer

16 Leave a comment on verse 16 0 As you walk down the Fulham Road
Your heroes to behold
Cherish this time of wonder
Forever in your heart

17 Leave a comment on verse 17 0 Now that we are near
To being champions its clear
This is what we dream of
Whenever we come here

18 Leave a comment on verse 18 0 Though others put us down
Its us who’ll wear the crown
Of winners who have
Fought and won
Home and away

19 Leave a comment on verse 19 0 No matter what they say
They can’t take this away
Its something we’ll remember
Untill our final days!!!

20 Leave a comment on verse 20 0 peace

Notes
