Went to Shels against Drogs,
With his usual rancour and scorn.
The match, by God’s grace,
Ended up like Bert’s face –
Really not very pretty and drawn.

Was the dominant force,
And neither team kept the ball low.
We were not at our ease,
So it wasn’t a breeze,
And a draw wasn’t really a blow.
