East Angling Derby – Ipswich v Norwich 2006-7

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Rumours were, our manager Peter Grant
Has a real phobia about fish
This stemmed from a sharks head prank
Put on his pillow by a team-mate (how childish)

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 It was the East Angling Derby
So the Ipswich fans thought it would be fun
To bring inflatable fish to wave
But in the end they brought none

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 It was a bit of a damp squid
Cods-wallop, you might say
The rumours false for goodness hake
No plaice for skate or stingray

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 They scaled down their fishy plans
But alas they broke our net
Three times they left us floundering
So the bragging rights they get

Notes

Ipswich 3: Norwich 1

Shape up or ship out. That was Peter Grants message to his players after their feeble appearance at Portman Road. It’s going to have to be a big raft.
