Easy Boys, Don’t Get Too Carried Away (sic).

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We’d a World Cup winner, out on the pitch
A Champions League victor or two
So going behind to a zonal marking catastrophe
Shouldn’t scare yer, but what can yer do?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A journeymen team
Raised a right head of steam
As proceedings did break at one all
If it wasn’t for Cech
Who was guarding our net
We could have turned round, with backs to the wall.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Were there rockets like those on the Kursaal
Or a dressing room wall stained with tea?
Maybe Big Phil had thrown something verbal
At his under-performers, from the so called Big Three.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We left ‘whatisname’ at the hotel
Ain’t it funny how you can’t recall names?
No one’s buying, so at present we can’t sell
Some big-head, who wants guaranteed games.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 When the fouth one sailed in, we were cruising,
I saw one or two of the boys start to smile
So maybe Phil and his linguistic bruising
Has sorted their heads out fine style?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Last nights game is now fish ‘n’ chip paper
It’s old history destined to the bin
But pray let us not get too carried away
All we’ve won is away at…… Southend!

Notes

We’re getting better, but the real crunch test is to come in the form of Stoke City…..at home, this Saturday or is it Sunday, please Sky let me know in plenty of time.

What about the travelling fans on their way to the Southend, last night, listening out for info on a game that one minute was on , then it was off…then who knows? What was that all about?

When they’ve (the clubs) had our money they don’t care about us, or do they?

peace
