Edgeley Park Villains

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The ‘keepers’ shirt at County, has been worn by many a good number 1
But for me the worst I’ve ever seen, has to be Carl Muggleton
Closely followed by Tim Flowers, who to be fair, was passed his prime
12 goals in just three games, it really was a crime

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Smith was a deceptive defender; he was slower than he looked
He’d get there just as fast as he could, but would end up getting booked
I liked Mickey Wallace as a player, until he lost the plot
Sent off for spitting at Wembley, costing County a promotion spot

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Wayne Phillips was not just a waste of space; he was ugly, (well not that pretty)
But my two biggest villains of all time, are also ex-Man City
McGoldrick & Nixon in a crucial game, against the pale sky blues
It was as if they were trying their best, for their current team to lose

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 There’s been lots of useless forwards, Ben Burgess springs to mind
But to say he was by far the worst, well that would be unkind
There was Adie ‘jigsaw’ Mike, in the box he went to pieces
The ‘Greek Australian’ Kalogeracos, who had us all in creases
A Canadian known as Aunger, and a ‘yank’ who’s name was Murray
And a little ‘jock’ called Carrigan who left Stockport in a hurry
We even had Joel Cantona; I wish we’d signed his famous brother
From what we witnessed on the pitch, we’d have been better with his mother

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Don’t start me on woeful managers; we’ve had more than our fair share
With Palmer, Turner, Melia spending too long in the chair
The three above, in my opinion, are the worst we’ve ever had
The mere mention of their time at the club, just leaves me feeling sad
But without the villains, there’d be no heroes, to make comparison
And with both the ‘good’ and the ‘bad’, the ‘County’s’ history carries on
