Engerland

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Beckham won’t pay your mortgage
Rooney won’t do your job
Terry won’t do the shopping
Crouch won’t watch over your hob

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So why do you care about their lives?
Your life is worth more than a game
In four years there’s a different champion
And you go back to feeling the same

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 What’s to gain from winning the world cup?
Glory for the players above
But you’ll still have to pay the mortgage
And do a job that you really don’t love

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Football casues domestic violence
And fighting and crime in our streets
I don’t dare to go to my local
I can’t get a drink or a seat

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So if winning is fairly pointless
Why the heck do you get so stressed
You’re bound to be disappointed
Not caring like me is the best

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 I’ve never once been disappointed
My expectations are modest and real
I care about things that are important
So let’s make a pact or a deal

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 When I laugh at the loss of England
And offer a toast at your sad tears
I’ll do it in private in my home
If you’ll do the same in four years
