England set for British manager

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Give over
why do you care
if the man chosen
is from there or here.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Gus Hidink
is that how you spell his funny name
he done well with those Koreans
PSV also I think, surely he’s game.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 What about Scolari
another johnny foreigner
O.k so what he managed Brazil
hardly Keegan’ style of manager.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Let’s get O’Neill
He’s good
He’s “British”
and the bes of the dead wood.

Notes

O.k. I want to try and see if we can start a poetry slam (of sorts). Simply put, for today at least, I’m going to choose the football headline of the day from the BBC website. You can see my poetic efforts on the subject above. All done in under 2 minutes (I can assure you if you can’t tell). Now, someone else respond please, asap, with something written in under 2 minutes. Of course, we just have to believe you. This could quite well and truly flounder – let’s try anyway. The current headline is “England set for British manager”. Go!
