Enjoying the Euros

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’m really enjoying the European Championship
as the teams are giving it their all
already there’s been some cracking goals
and games full of quality and passing football.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Shevchenko’s two headed goals were brilliant
and the Ukranian celebrations were great to see
and although Spain remain the favourites
they were held to a draw by a battling Italy.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 England gave a decent performance against France
and they did well in the sweltering heat
but they now need to overcome the Swedes
or at least try hard to not get beat.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Typically the Germans are looking a bit tasty
and we all know they’ll probably go far
which can’t be said of the Netherlands
who are performing well below par.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I’ve a feeling though we are in for a few shocks
and the likes of Poland and Ukraine could go all the way
remember when Denmark and Greece won it ?
it’s not always the favourites that win on the day.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So I”ll be down the pub tonight with all the others
proudly wearing the Three Lions on my chest
but we know with England anything can happen
so that means I’ll end up happy then or depressed !

Notes

Best championship I can remember for a long time and I feel the trophy is up for grabs. Spain are awesome on their day but as I wrote in this poem that’s not to say they will win it.
I won’t bring England into it though because as we know they have a habit of letting us down,so I’ll say nowt for now !
