Euro 2004

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’ll be cheering for Ireland, the land of my youth
North or South, Motherland still
And England, as I grow long in the tooth
My dreams they too, can fulfil

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 If both of them fail, and France should prevail
I’ll be happy, strange though it may seem
They play beautiful football, with a sting in the tail
Straight out of the Arsenal team

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So it looks, all in all, that I’ll be satisfied
My eyes will be glued to the box
To see the best games since the day Gazza cried
Or the day Nobby pulled down his socks

Notes

Best wishes to all football lovers
