Euro 2008 Day Six ii

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Austria 1 Poland 1

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 In a tough international,
You’ve fallen behind.
It’s hard to keep rational –
What goes through your mind?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 When the minutes are dwindling
And the fans are resigned,
When hope needs rekindling,
What goes through your mind?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 When defeat spells disaster,
However unkind,
And the minutes tick faster,
What goes through your mind?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 When a penno’s awarded,
Are you now in a bind?
Is the prospect now sordid?
What goes through your mind?

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 When you’re facing the goalie,
With entrails entwined,
Do your thoughts just turn slowly?
What goes through your mind?

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 When the fate of the nation
Is your way consigned,
Do you fear condemnation?
What goes through your mind?

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 I know it sounds hateful,
Of that I’ve no doubt,
But I’m really quite grateful
I’ll never find out.
