They said they were in for a drubbing.
The supporters all yelled
That they should be expelled.
Sure, you might as well let them going clubbing.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And when the Croats got a penalty,
It seemed that resistance was token.
Oh how many more
Would the Balkan team score?
Would goalscoring records be broken?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 But credit the embattled minnows!
They proved they deserved their inclusion.
They stepped up the pressure,
Looked hungry, looked fresher,
And battled unto the conclusion.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The Croats hung on well, determined,
Though confidence took quite a battering.
They hung on, but still
The score of one nil
Was widely regarded as flattering.
