Who re-energised the players that serve us

Broke the opposition
The roadblock surmounted

A ne’re before seen virtue
When a determined young Jeff
Said “I’m gonna hurt you”

A new literary gem
And ultimately the difference
Between us and them!

Ireland 1-0 Georgia

And Georgia had done us a big favour by beating Scotland 3 days beforehand.

Euro qualifier that Ireland had to win to stay in the hunt for qualification.

Sept 7th 2015.
Same night, Germany nick a 3-2 win Hampden and Poland trounce Gibraltar 8-1

And yes, for the pedants: it is Jeff Hendrick

But his incredible dribble when cutting in from the left wing to set up the goal, was absolutely magical !

And so was whoever it was that coined the term, great stuff. Wish i could lay claim!
