Every Fixture Tells A Story

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 If a picture paints a thousand words
I can name that game in two
Norwich City served up ‘the usual’
Fans frustrations grew

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Teams with the prefix ‘Bottom Club’
Love to come to Carrow Road
We make things seem much brighter
We give them hope to hold

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Five Live described it as a ‘thriller’
Sometimes you have to laugh
Our support sat stony quiet
As we contrived to lose each half

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Final score was Norwich 2 Forest 3
An action packed goal-stuffed spree
But our two goals were gift wrapped
Both being labelled o.g.

Notes

We hope for blockbuster, we get lack lustre. Booed off the pitch, calls for Roeder to be sacked. We love the comfort of the familiar festive traditions.

Happy New Year to all fellow Football Poets: wishing you good health, good goals and inspired dreams…
