Every Game’s Away.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He gets up at the dead of night.
To listen to his home town’s plight.
So far away across the sea,
He knows where he would like to be.
At Home Park as man and boy,
To watch the Pilgrims he’d enjoy.
He scans the internet for news,
Then meets with mates to share his views.
Still wears the shirt with so much pride,
Love of his team he’ll never hide.
So many men have left this shore,
No interest in Premier four.
Though the distance keeps them apart,
Their home town team stays in their heart.
This bond will last a life time span,
The salt of earth true football fan.

Notes

This is dedicated to John Campbell who now lives in Australia, and the many thousands of true football fans on foreign field.
