Ewood Curse

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Hallow’een reserved its most gruesome horror
Who would the Ewood park jinx next fall to?
Cursed £14 million French star Djibril Cisse
After Carragher and Baros, would fall too

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Five long months passed by, still no sign
The Kop said “After the darkness comes the light”
The Lord of Frodsham would return to play his part
On one of Liverpool’s most glorious nights

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Blackburn Rovers came to Anfield one season later
Hoping Djibril wouldn’t come back to haunt them
They shouted “Cisse, Cisse how’s your leg?”
Only for him later to silence them, another free-kick gem

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Not long left to go they thought they had escaped
Seventy-five minutes gone on the clock, would he still avenge?
0-0 they thought they had scraped
The winner was to his be ultimate revenge

Notes

Djibril Cisse broke his leg against Blackburn, 30th October 2004.
One year later he scored the winner against them, 15th October 2005.
