Faith in the Reds

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Once upon a timeless dream
An angel robed in red
Came down from heaven’s shining throne
And turned to me and said
“When all seems lost and troubles gain
And anguish crowns thy heart
When shadows gather all forlorn
And words all poisoned darts
These troubl’d waters will grow calm
And Anfield men will be
One day the champions long denied
Yet patient all must be
Do not lose faith and hold thy ground
And keep thy fears at bay
God hears thy prayers
And feels the grip
Of that immortal chain
That solemn promise given now
When you will live to see
No more false dawns of come what may
But what will come to be.”

Notes

here’s hoping….

“I was born by hte banks of the Mersey
Facin the Irish Sea
It might not look like heaven to you
But its home sweet home to me”
