Feeling So Guilty

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Our home match on Sunday
was going to be live on T.V.
so there lay the problem
do I go to the Ricoh to watch the City ?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 So I went to the pub first
and got chatting to fans at the bar
they said they were staying there
even though the grounds not that far.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I had a couple of pints with them
then I said I was off to the match
but near to the stadium I didn’t feel right
and it wasn’t the dodgy beer or batch.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 I’ve never done such a thing before
but I decided to turn back around
all my motivation had left me
and I couldn’t enter our Football ground.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So I watched the game back in the pub
and true to form we went and got beat
the pub was full of Sky Blue supporters
who like me had decided to vote with their feet.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 But the next day I felt really guilty
as if I had let my beloved club down
it felt like I had deserted them
and it’s left me wearing a frown.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 So I’ve pledged to never repeat it
I’ll never ever walk away again
I’ve promised to always be there
even though they put me through all this pain !

A fan told me to stop feeling guilty and down at not going to the game as a lot of our fans have finally had enough.
The club is in a right mess and it has got me down to be honest, and this season so far has been really hard to get motivated.
But I firmly believe in the old Football saying:Once a fan always a fan.
So I’ll just put it down to an off day,and carry on supporting them as best i can and just hope for a miracle !
