First game of football

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 My first game of football was against a gable end
The white posts painted there by my dad and his best friend,
But the friend he moved away and the posts were left behind
to the man who bought the house and wasn’t just as kind.
He didn’t like his neighbours, said he didn’t like his wife
He didn’t like football-he didn’t like his life.
He painted out our goalposts and painted up a sign
“Don’t kick balls against my walls-not now or anytime”
so
At night we painted back our goalposts-made alterations to his sign
“Please kick balls against my walls- now and any time”
and we did !.

True story- many a game of football would end up in a chase.
