First Time Remembered

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Dad,
You’ve fulfilled so many needs
But the greatest gift of all – is that it wasn’t Leeds

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Dad,
A rozzer before the razzle, on the beat at Loftus Road
But at least you had the sense, to bring me to another abode

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Dad,
It was just a once-off, never repeated
But you chose well, listened as I entreated

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 And so it was to the Bridge, that we ventured
And how it came to be, that I’m permanently indentured

Notes

‘razzle’ – pre razzamatazz days of Marsh, Bowles, Francis, Thomas et al

Dad is originally from E17, so he’s officially a Happy Hammer, but he’s not a big fan of football (unlike me!) hence the once off trip.

Dad was born in Shakespeare Avenue.
I can’t claim to be like that particular gentleman either! 🙁
