Flares

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A twenty minute delay
Down to Gooners with flares
Fails to dampen our spirit and dreams
Flares? Oh yeah from the halcyon days
Walking down The Kings Road with long hair
When The Arsenal had an half decent team.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Pass it and move
Is right lovely to watch
For the purists it tries to impress
Me? I rather sit and drool
At a beast of a man working his socks off
Then sticking the ball in their net.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So The Arsenal leave West London
Pointless again
It seems to becoming a habit
Still they’ve flares in abundance
To lighten the pain
With Cuban heels, afro’s, and crushed velvet jackets.

Notes

Costa and Oscar simply awesome. As for The Arsenal. It’s same old, same old, really beautiful to watch, but if that don’t work and it ain’t is it? Then they’re bang in trouble as they don’t seem to have an out, or plan B to switch to.

Carefree…..braised in Celery.

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
