Flying with Fulham

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Boring wait for boarding seemed like years,
Lifted off with a bang, Healy scores against Arsenal,
The midflight curse begins with a leveler from Red,
Points dropped but an opening to be proud of.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Cursed curse crops up again and again,
Unexplainable, unwanted an unadvoidable but expected blow week after week,
Success after success trimmed back to eager shares or encouraging second places,
Belt up, turbulence is approaching.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Captain removed by force of ‘mutual consent’,
Unproven old hand returns from foreign fields,
To a silent cabin of suited up passionless ‘supporters’ discussing imminent recession nothing to with tactics or possesion,
Plane is steadied but results barely lift off the cabin floor.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Coming in to land crash may be advoided just,
Who can tell? Who will be the fatalities surely not us?
Nobody knows, oblivion looming don’t say the r word,
Yet viscious hope springs from somewhere within.
