Food for Thought.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 At the dinner table
Dougal could nae get his breath,
He gargled and he gurgled
And almost choked to death,
The moral of the story
Should be a Golden Rule,
Don’t say “Hamilton Academicals”
When your mouth is full.

Notes

I wrote this poem when Secretary and Poet Laureate of the (unofficial) West Australian Branch of the Raith Rovers Appreciation Society. There is something inspirational about lower league Scottish football.
