sending you back in time.

the Who talking about their generation
and The Beatles in a Yellow Submarine.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Us kids with our Sky Blue rattles,
clicking them to the tunes on the tannoy
great fun before the teams came out.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Records remind you of where you were
good and bad times come flooding back,
that one was around in our relegation season.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Others bring a smile to your face,
when that one came on, it took me
back to the season we won the Cup.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 The masses on the Liverpool Kop
singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”
us away fans looking on in awe.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 Football and music go hand in hand
every club likes to take a pop song,
and put in their own words.

players like to listen to it before a game,
football stadiums are venues for concerts.

before and after the games,
in and around every ground in the country.

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 But the best sounds come from the terraces,
the greatest choirs can be found there
football fans can really sing a tune.

11 Leave a comment on verse 11 0 So yes, music and football do go together
just listen in at the next match you attend,
but it’s even better if you sing along as well !

I’ve always loved football songs, and chants, some can be really amusing, and some can give you the tingles, to me it’s all part of our sport, where would we be without a good sing song at the matches ?
