Football Crazy

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 4 He’s a football supporter
family say he’s mad,
neighbours laugh at him
some think he’s sad.
But to his mates
who are fans too,
he’s a terrace legend
so they haven’t got a clue.
He’ll travel many miles
to watch his team play,
never missing a game
at home or away.
Been following his club
since he was a lad,
knee high to a grasshopper
behind the goal with his dad.
Its in his genes this passion
a part of his D.N.A.
that’s why he’s always there
each and every Saturday.
The club he adores
this beloved of many years,
aren’t even very good
and given him anguish and tears.
But he’ll never support another
his loyalty will always remain,
even when others have given up
and called him crazy and insane.
Yet he’ll always love his football
and he doesn’t want no pity,
even though the club he follows
is none other than Coventry City !
