Football Doggerel

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A census was taken, which clearly purported
To show who the dog population supported.
The published results made for interesting reading,
As opinion polls proved to be very misleading.
The teams that we humans in masses do follow,
Our four-legged brethren find harder to swallow.
Two salient points that are well worth remarking,
Are that a) almost every dog questioned likes Barking,
And b) an agreement exists between breeds
That virtually no football canine likes Leeds.
