Football Money and Madness

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The streets of London paved with Reds
Down the to the Bridge me ma she said
“Yer can’t go there like London Town
They’ll hear yer accent do yer down”

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 “But ma” I pleaded “lerruz go
These Cockney no-marks they wont show
There just a load of woolly backs
When they see us their pants they’ll cack!”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I grabbed me scarf and a ticket begged
The ticket office laughed and shook their heads
A la said “try the touts they’ll understand
They did, for something near a grand!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 So now the Smoke is off the map
I’ll try me luck for our home match
At Anfield where the milk and honey flows
All down the Walton Breck Frog and Toad!

Notes

Heard that the going price for backhand tickets for the CLSF was at least £1000….
think I will be watching it on the telly!!!

Great to see Jib back in the red shirt, lad’s a star he really is, loved the way yesterday when he came towards the last part of the match he “limped” onto the pitch! As long as he doesn’t limp off!!!

WELL DONE JIB YOU’RE A LEGEND! Now get us a hattrick on the 27th April against the shed’eds!

“I was born on the banks of the Mersey
Facin’ the Irish sea
It might not seem like heaven to you
But it’s home sweet home to me”
