France v Nigeria.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 How wonderful,
The French boys are talking
There’s an ambience though-out the camp
Though it’s doubtful
Most would be where they are this morning
If it wasn’t for Didier Deschamp.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The Water Carrier
Seems a professional coach
Adept in the handling of eejits
Mind you after Cantona
Could anything ever come close
To upsetting the equilibrium like he did?

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I feel sorry
For the plight of The Big Boss
His future uncertain today
With Nigeria’s players having the worry
That even when it came to kick-off
They still hadn’t seen any pay.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Nigeria
Played some wonderful football
I know that’s a tired old cliché
But their fanstastic hysteria
Through out the tournament
Deserves more than: “We didn’t get paid”.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 So as Les Blues prepare to face
The lumbering Germans
Where as we know there’s a history
Ain’t it cool to be looking forward to a game
With two teams determined
To win, and strikers not shrouded in mystery?

Notes

Call me old fashioned. But continued news of bonus money being owed to players by their own F.A’s at a World Cup. What’s that all about? Oh Yeah I forgot once again. I keep thinking we’re playing a competitive sport here for the love of it. Sorry.

France are looking good though even without Ribery and Nasri.

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
