From the Calton to Paradise

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 There was a bhoy in the district of Calton
In old Glasgow’s famous east end,
Who had the skill, talent and pace
Playing football in the shadows of Parkhead.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He had the same dream like every supporter
And prayed morning, noon and night,
That from the Calton, he would walk to Paradise
And wear the jersey of green and white

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Reared on the folklore of Celtic
And of the passion that the supporters possessed,
His heroes he would see play on a Saturday,
The Lisbon Lions, he swore, had been blessed.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 His dream came to true and he was thankful
As he fought for Celtic’s cause in every game,
For we witnessed the passion, devotion and spirit,
And Tommy Burns was his name.
