From The Wrong Side Of The River

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It don’t matter where you’re from
North, east, south or west
Nor is it about quality
Poor, average, or the best
Any team worth their salt
Will quickly start to quiver
When they’re up against that shady bunch
From the wrong side of the river

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 There’s no chant that can faze us
It all falls on deaf ears
We’ve proven that, time and again
Through all our numerous years
Shout as loud as you want to
But we’ll shake you to your core
‘Cause no amount of song
Can drown a lion’s mighty roar

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 So let ‘em come and show ‘emselves up
We’ll tell ‘em where to go
For this almighty lion’s den
Does not fear any foe
When that whistle blows, and things kick off
The outside world fades away
And we stand united in our belief
That every docker has his day.

Notes

this is a tribute to my beloved club, Millwall, the pride of south London.

Editor Note:
Me and my ol’ West London mates still harbour fond and emotive memories of Millwall away !

Visitors like us used to inwardly fear and bemoan hot atmospheres like they’d conjure (to chimes of No One Likes Us~We Don’t Care ) at The Den .Now we long for them!

Bring back atmosphere! Stand up for standing up.
