Full On London Derby.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 It was kinda like
Turning up
To a party you’re not invited to…
That’s taking place in your own home.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 What’s worse?
We went a goal down,
and for those out there
Who needed reminding,
The home crowd – including me –
Let our often under-performing millionaires
Know in no uncertain terms
That we wanted to see some…commitment.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Our language turned the air blue
We wanted tackles, tackles and more tackles
Challenges, passion, while across the aisle
Sitting next to A Bloke going absolutely ape (like me)
Sat A Blokes partner, earphones in,
Oblivious to it all, listening to (I presume) an i-pod.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We snatched a point at the death
When in all honesty
Our first league defeat under Guus beckoned.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Later waiting to meet up with my mate and his son
On the icy cold concourse under the stadium
I couldn’t help but wonder…what was that girl listening to,
While all about her were on the verge of completely losing it,
That chilled her out so?

Notes

Is this a cool way to go to the match with yer man, or what?

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.

Peace.

Kev.
