Gardening Leave

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 He’s been put on gardening leave
so he’s working with fork and spade,
he’s done some heavy digging
and a new lawn has just been laid.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 He’s been put on gardening leave
thanks for all your hard work they said,
but now instead of talking tactics
he’s pulling weeds from the flowerbed.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 He’s been put on gardening leave
and the club have already got a new man,
so his days are now spent raking
and walking around with his watering can.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 He’s been put on gardening leave
instead of being given the sack,
now he pushes his wheelbarrow
with dirty hands and an aching back.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 He’s been put on gardening leave
all the best for the future they said,
but he’s been arguing daily with his missus
so now he sleeps alone in his shed.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 He’s been put on gardening leave
and he’s had no job offer for weeks,
but his crocus have started to come through
and you want to see the size of his leeks !

Notes

Ally McCoist is now on gardening leave from Rangers which always tickles me as most managers these days are so well off they probably have a gardener to look after their sprawling acres. I do gardens myself so if Ally needs a hand just give me a call !
