By five lives excitable roll
Our numbers the be all that matters
When the balls start to jump in that bowl.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Me workmates have gone down the rub a dub
For a swift half with a crusty cheese roll
Whilst I’m sat here, by meself on me todd,
As me club’s number blares out from the radio

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Will it be Man Yoo at their place
Or Pompey at home down The Bridge
Crikey it’s Barnsley, where is it they play?
Here find us a map, double quick!

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Another long trip up to Yorkshire
Means leaving the smoke early doors
There are those who would rather swop places with us
And still be in the FA cup draw.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Gotta get on clubs website as soon as
For cup tickets to Barnsley away
Then make urgent phone calls to all of the lads
To find out who the other teams play!

There’s nothing like the buzz and excitement of a Monday lunchtime FA cup draw, on the wireless. If you’re fortunate enough to still be in the shake up….that is!
