Getting Things Off My Chest

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Crispin’s got a point you know
Advertising can be well over the top
I thought we’d come to watch the football
Instead of being told where to shop.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But that’s not all that can irritate
What about stewards who block your view?
They stand together in their fluroscent coats
When I’m trying to watch my team in Sky Blue.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “We’re only here to do a job they say ”
But their attitude can make you mad
I reckon they’re not real football fans
So in my book that makes them sad.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 And don’t get me started on Premier wages
When most of us are struggling with bills to pay
While they’re all living a life of luxury
We have to try and get by day to day.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 And why can’t all Saturday games start at three
Now they kick off at all times of the day
Somethings are just best left well alone
Stop messing us fans around that’s what I say.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 And footballers are not role models anymore
They haven’t been for so many years
How can kids look up to Rooney. Cole, or Terry,
If they do you’ll know they will end up in tears.
