Gimme Five

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Peter Grant made a good start
Two league wins out of two
In the Cup, Port Vale spotted our weakness
We lost on penalties – what’s new?
Off to Stoke, the Potteries folk
To get things back on track
We needed to notch another three points
To chase after the play-off pack
The new manager is up and coming
The players have been or never were
Grant bellows from the touchline
He’s enthusiastic ‘For Sure’
Stoke had a better day than us
Scoring five goals to beat our nil
Nothing went right for our travelling men
It was a struggle to make it downhill
We wait with interest for Grants response
He’s said to be a motivator
But, whatever he says in the pre-match team talk
Obviously requires a translator

Notes

Peter Grant is from Belshill, Glasgow and talks with passion (and a heavy accent naturally). He would rather make a mistake than make nothing at all. He won’t run out of ideas but he’s fast running out of players – the injury list is the most healthy thing at Colney this morning.

Look out for Hallowe’en Horror as Norwich host Colchester United tomorrow. Or as the Pools Panel might say: Away Win.
