Go east young man

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 But though our eyes look to the west
To prancing, dancing girls, half-dressed,
And marvel at the huge amounts
That Becks has lodged in his accounts,
Still Man United lead the hunt
To plunder ‘new the orient,
Where British, Dutch and Portuguese
Once brought proud people to their knees.
For maximising football’s brand,
‘Bout which there’s nothing underhand
Subsumes the need to fight and kill
And enslave millions ‘gainst their will.
Though, as in days of yore, the fruit
Of this campaign to garner loot,
Will not be shared by man in t’street,
But just among a small elite.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Oh Africa, perspire anew,
For soon their eye will turn on you.
