Goal Hanging
¶ 1

When I play football
I tend to goal hang,
Leaning on the wall
With the usual gang.

But if I fail to score
I’m in a real pickle,
It will be war
For the fans that are fickle.

I’m playing with the lads
The only girl on their side,
On my shins I wear pads
For the bruises that I hide.

I pretend all is fine
And I’m not pushed to the limit,
The goal in front is mine
Football playing is not a gimmick.

As I hit the back of the net
Hearing the lads cheer,
Forever in my debt
This goal hanging is the gear!
