Goodnight

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 I’m writing this at almost midnight,
though I thought I had nothing else to say.
But these few words just came into my head
just sort of come my way.
Just want to say you’ll always be remembered,
your flame will always burn bright.
And before this day is through,
I just wanted to say to you all ‘Goodnight’
And tomorrow belongs to you,
in the heart of this great city you’ll truly belong.
Tomorrow tears will flow for you at Anfield,
with every prayer and with every song.
But before that day soon arrives,
and before I now switch out the light.
I just wanted to say to you again,
‘God bless you all and goodnight’.
