GSS

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 No footie for me, a rarity
so settled down to watch GSS:
around the grounds with
a plethora of ex pros,
trying to extract some excitement
from no goals snore draws.
In the studio Charlie, the
darling of the Highbury terraces;
Merse immersed in the banter;
Le Tiss never missing the chance
to pass comment on his beloved Saints;
Tommo keeping an eye on the Reds’ results.
And in the midst of all the mayhem
sits Geoff.
Stellar summaries from Stelling,
elated or crestfallen depending
on scoreline from Hartlepool.
Constant diet of wisecracks
to entertain the watching masses.
Beats Grandstand hands down!

Notes

This is how I spend my Saturday afternoons when I’m not watching the Town!
