Gutless.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Kinda sticks in the craw don’t it,
This player power?
A promising young coach clearly out of his depth
Being hung out to dry by a bunch of ageing pro’s
And no nothing buys
Unable to or simply refusing to adapt to a new system.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 There were times when we all saw
What was happening out on the pitch?
Plywood defending from wiry haired comedians
Sulking
Alice band ballerinas
Wisp like in their total ineptitude to the cause.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Came on the telly he did, bravely smiled
Always praising The Group ethic
Even when they in parts never showed up for him
Sat in the sanctity of the dressing room
Leaving him to take the brunt of it, full in the face
From the encircling sharks of the media, after his blood.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Yet where were The Group when he needed them?
Running in to the eighteen yard box
Of the last chance saloon up at The Hawthorns
On Saturday afternoon
With a slim chance of saving the coach’s neck and job
And only the keeper to beat?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Nowhere to be seen is where, and no bottle for the fight.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Cliques rule,
These refuseniks have taken over our asylum
Yeah it kinda sticks in the craw.
This player power
An you know what?
I’m not sure I like this or where it’s going?

Notes

Oh dear. Cech, Drogba, Cole, Terry, Lampard, Luis, Torres, Sturridge et al’ Your days are clearly numbered lads. You’ve been tumbled.(found out)

Our owner has made it crystal clear he holds you lot responsible for the coach’s departure. If he can ship coaches out at the drop of a hat, think what he’ll do to a bunch of underperforming pro’s coming to the end of a contract?

At last! Someone is pointing the finger of blame at the players for a bleedin change, something good may come our this little lot after all.

Carefree…off to Battersea, Moscow, Kiev or The White City.

Go well and be lucky.

Peace.

Kev.
