Have Fear. It’s That Time of Year!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The fellas and me were just talking
That ‘Special One’s’ been pretty quiet
Could it be that the next dead man walking
Has Mourinho nightmares each night?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 One or two boss’s are counting team losses
Draws and the odd win in three
Working out severance pay offs
And preparing to mail their cv’s

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The p.45 season clear out
Has turned up, is showing his face
When the board realize that it has to be now
When yer gaffer must go on his way.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Come Jan to a man they’ll be saying
We felt it was time for a change
We’d like to thank him for the job that he’s done
Whilst we gag him as part of his pay.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 November, December
Pray make sure to remember
Some bloke with the curse on his back

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Of the seasonal grim reaper
Who with the boards blessing creeps up
And gives that poor blighter the sack!

Notes

Some poor manager somewhere is getting set for the seasonal tin tack
(sack) it happens and it has to be now to avoid getting into relegation dog -fights and what have you, later in the season or so yer board of directors seem to think in their infinite wisdom!

It rarely surprises any of them, they(managers) have it built in to their DNA. Mourinho use to tell the story of his father being the manager of a small Portugeuse side, preparing Christmas dinner with the family and the phone rang. Mourinho senior went to answer it and came back to tell the family that he’d just been relieved of his duties as the teams manager by the clubs directors on…Christmas Day!

So nothing should surprise any of us fans if and when it happens, and it goes with out saying …it will to some manager, somewhere.
