Histrionics.

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Six thirty five of a Saturday night
A face like a smacked derriere
He bounds up a staircase, three at a time
As a well-informed cat becomes scarce.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Storms in to the kitchen, keys left in the door
To a dinner, set ready to eat
Which he hurls out the window with an almighty roar
Where it lands on the roof of a car in the street.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 As Five Live revives all the heartbreak
When the chalice of victory seemed near
He was that close to both having and eating his cake
Till a lino’s eyesight caused him tears.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 A whole weekend shot in a Spec-Saver moment
He ponders suing the R.A for stress
Then considers such action a tad overblown
But considered it never the less.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Grabbing the door of the fridge in his angst
He’s searching for solace in drink
After three cans of cold lager, he’s sat head in hands
Cursing two lino’s eyes which had blinked.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Looking down at his dinner on the roof of his ride
The costly dent that his temper has caused
He thinks how come the ref never saw that offside?
Was he by any chance bribed and then bought!

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 As conspiracy theories race round his head
Caused by lost points and defeat
He considers an early night, and going to bed
Full knowing he won’t sleep a wink.

8 Leave a comment on verse 8 0 Reliving the highpoints, he forces a smile
Some of their play was the nuts
In the wake of the three points lost he arrives
At the conclusion of his angst, he’s a klutz.

9 Leave a comment on verse 9 0 Regaining composure he walks toward the lounge
Where a telly is blaring with laughter
Stood outside the door, he swears quite profound
Then decides to forget day’s disaster.

10 Leave a comment on verse 10 0 Perched on a sofa, a vision of beauty
He’s cherished since they courted when young
Enquires in angelic voice, an a tad of impunity:
“Hello darling….. How’d they get on?!”£$%^&*”

Notes

We’ve all as fans had days like these, and for the fine form that’s a female football fan there’s always the alternative hertrionics. Which I’m thinking of writing about at the moment.

Go well and be lucky.

Carefree…..

Peace.

Kev.
